Album Info:
A very busy weekday morning at Hoboken terminal in August, 1977 was full of former EL U34CH's preparing and departing with their Comet I cars, EL vintage MU's lined up, and an EL NW2 working the coach yard. A former EL SW7 and SW9 were also handling local freight traffic. Conrail was under contract with NJDOT, and in 1979 NJ Transit, to operate NJ commuter lines from April, 1976 until January, 1983.

EL MU trailer 3236
Description:
EL 3236, one of 50 low-roof trailer MU cars built by Pullman in 1925, rests with semi-pemanently coupled sister power car at Hoboken in August, 1977. The cars were not renumbered during their few years operated by Conrail under contract with NJDOT, or later by NJ Transit. MU trailer 3236 has been preserved by the Brooks Preservation Society as part of rolling stock for the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad in Belfast, Maine.
