Thomas C. Ayers
Dates:

Album Info:
Here are the front cover and a 16-page cover story by Mr. William L. Rohde entitled "Sunnyside Yard." They were published originally in the May 1948 issue of "Railroad" magazine, pages 10-25. "The world's largest passenger car yard is situated on an island, yet it services approximately nine hundred cars every twenty-four hours." (Page 10) I've also included two original photos of Sunnyside Yard that I took while riding a Long Island Rail Road train from Penn Station, New York, to the World's Fair during August of 1965.
