| Description: |
Putting on a showy display as it heads up an afternoon passenger train, #5390 gives us an iconic view of passenger railroading in 1950. This K4s, built in 7/1924 by the Altoona shops, eventually was scrapped in 8/1956. Specs - 80" drivers, 205 psi boiler pressure, 27x28" cylinders, engine weight of 304,500 lb, and tractive effort of 44,460 lb. R.G. Nugent photo credit. One of my favorite PRR Pacific action shots! |
