Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, on 23 May 1948. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6832, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in September of 1926 and retired in January of 1954 after 28 years of faithful service. Note the trainphone apparatus on the tender's deck. Gary Mittner Collection.
