Description:  Here is a photo from an article entitled "They Ride Herd On 3-1/2 Million Horsepower." It was published originally in the 1 October 1965 issue of "The Pennsy," page 6. The photographer is not identified. Partial Caption: "An EF-25a booms along west of Alliance, Ohio." Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6028 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. #6028 is an EF-25A built by GM-EMD in April of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower.

Title:  PRR 6028, EF-25A, 1967
Description:  Mid-Mountain. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train West of Altoona, Pennsylvania, during mid-December of 1967. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #6028 and #6054. Both were built by EMD. #6028 is an EF-25A built in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #6054 is an EF-30A built in 1966 and rated at 3,000 horsepower. They are in the middle of a westbound mixed-cargo freight train on its way up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West.
