Top Photo, Partial Caption: "Hostler F.B. Sawyer boards 4-motor GE locomotive." Shown here is PRR engine #2543, a GF-25 built by General Electric in March of 1965 and rated at 2,500 HP. Second Photo Down: Partially visible here is PRR engine #2333, an EF-25 built by GM-EMD in February of 1965 and rated at 2,500 HP.

PRR 2333, EF-25, 1965
Description:
WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona during August of 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2333, #2358, and another unit whose number is not recorded. All were built by EMD. #2333 and #2358 are EF-25's built in 1965 and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. They are passing through the Altoona Passenger Station with a mixed-cargo freight train on their way to Enola and points East. Also visible (L to R) are one of the original PRR 12th Street Car Shop buildings and the PRR Test Plant building.

Huntingdon. Here is an original telephoto view that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train East of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, during October of 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2333, #2536, and two other units whose numbers are not recorded. #2333 is an EF-25 built by EMD in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2536 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling an eastbound mixed-cargo freight train. A portion of US Route 22 is visible on the right.
